TotalEnergies, the Section Paloise and Club de Lons
TotalEnergies and the Section Paloise Béarn Pyrénées have built a strong and loyal relationship. Since 1988, we have been a proud supporter of the Section Paloise, the leading rugby club in the French league and one of the elite of the Top 14. Beyond the strong local roots, our partnership with the Section Paloise is enriched by shared values: respect for others, a spirit of innovation, the strength of the team, a taste for performance and a sense of challenge.
We are therefore supporting the club in its new sporting ambitions, as well as in training and CSR. Nourished by these qualities, the club is building its success on the extra energy that characterizes all its members.

I learned and played rugby there, with its culture and its side effects. TotalEnergies, sponsor of the Section’s training center
We are committed to supporting the professional integration of young people and have become the “sponsor” of the Section’s training center, which is accredited by the French Ministry of Youth and Sports and the National Rugby League. Through this partnership, we are helping strengthen the relationship between the TOP 14 club and local clubs, especially by inviting them to the Stade du Hameau on match days.
The Section Paloise and TotalEnergies, committed to the future
The Section Paloise was the first club to be labeled “Fair Play for Planet” in recognition of the many eco-responsible practices that have been put in place, such as the creation of a CSR committee, the recovery of rainwater for watering the pitch and the promotion of local gastronomy. By unveiling the “Greenest Shirt” in August 2020, the Section Paloise became the first club to offer replica shirts made from 100% recycled plastics.

We are working hand in hand with the Section Paloise to create positive events and bring together all local energies around the Stade du Hameau. To reinforce rugby’s unifying spirit, we set up a village of activities at each of the Section’s home matches.

TotalEnergies: partner to Club de Lons
Since December 2023, TotalEnergies has been a partner to Lons Section Paloise Rugby Féminin, with the determination of helping the women’s rugby club consolidate its presence at the highest level. This partnership will bring greater structure to the club and improve working conditions for its players by providing them with a more comfortable environment tailored to their needs. By supporting women’s sport, TotalEnergies is playing an active role in promoting and developing sport among women.

TotalEnergies: partner to the French Rugby Federation
In 2024, we wanted to extend our commitment to French rugby by becoming the official partner for all the French 15s and 7s rugby teams, both men's and women’s, until 2028. Through our partnership with the French Rugby Federation (FFR), we are also continuing our support for the Tournoi National des Quartiers et Campagnes tournament.
The first edition of the Tournoi National des Quartiers et Campagnes was held during the France 2023 World Cup. This grassroots scheme is aimed at bringing rugby closer to a public that is often far removed from this sport and using its values to drive inclusion and living together in harmony by setting up citizen workshops addressing such issues as anti-discrimination, environmental awareness and gender equality.
The tournament is divided into three phases:
- local phases in various districts and rural areas, which offer local rugby and community activities with partner associations and clubs of the leagues for young people aged 8 to 13,
- regional finals where the most committed teams compete in a challenge, with the winning teams invited to discover the National Rugby Centre in Marcoussis, and
- the national grand final in Marcoussis.

Through our partnership with the French National Rugby League (LNR) until the 2025-2026 season, we are an official partner of the Top 14 and an official supporter of the Pro D2.

TotalEnergies supports amateur rugby throughout France
We have stepped up our commitment and support to amateur rugby through the TotalEnergies Amateur Rugby challenge and the Amateur Rugby Oscars in partnership with Midi Olympique.
We reward the regional champions in the Men’s Regional 1, 2 and 3 categories, the Junior Regional 1 category and the Senior and Junior Women’s X territorial champions with equipment prizes (balls, crampon bags, training shirts, vests, water bottles, tackle rings, etc.). This means that 90 clubs out of the 1,400 entering the championships are rewarded each year in the 12 metropolitan leagues.
The Amateur Rugby Oscars initiative is our way of paying tribute to all those who keep rugby thriving in France and who strive to develop the sport’s excellence. Every season, amateur clubs from across France are honored and celebrated during an evening event for all the hard work that their trainers, volunteers and parents do for their players and their club.

Amateur rugby: our partnership with Rematch
French start-up Rematch offers an AI solution for showcasing the greatest amateur rugby initiatives on social media every weekend. The Rematch smartphone app allows anyone pitch-side to film their club’s matches and best moves. Through our partnership with Rematch, we are also offering real support to clubs, since 50% of the budget invested goes straight back to the users’ clubs. This financial aid is a tangible and direct addition to the equipment donated to clubs as part of the TotalEnergies Amateur Challenge, and meets the Company’s objective of supporting amateur rugby throughout France.

TotalEnergies: official sponsor of the Rugby World Cup France 2023
The Rugby World Cup 2023 took place in France from September 8 to October 28, 2023. For the occasion, TotalEnergies became an official sponsor of the competition and contributed, alongside the Organizing Committee, to making this Rugby World Cup a moment of celebration and sharing. It was also an opportunity for the Company to raise awareness of its multi-energy dimension and to actively engage all its stakeholders and employees in this ambition.
